GlitchWise is an independent website that helps people diagnose and fix everyday technology problems. This page explains how our guides are researched, written, checked and corrected.
Our approach
We start with the problem a reader is actually facing, such as an error code, a symptom or a device that won’t connect. We work out the likely causes before listing fixes. Each guide helps you identify what is going wrong first, then try the most relevant fix, rather than working through a long list of random steps.
Steps are ordered from simple and reversible to more disruptive. Anything that could remove data, reset a device or change security settings comes later and carries a warning. We don’t tell readers to disable antivirus or firewall protection without a clear reason and instructions for turning it back on. We also don’t recommend risky registry edits or electrical repairs. Where a problem may involve mains electricity or a damaged device, we tell readers to stop and contact a qualified professional.
How we research our guides
Menu names, settings, error-code meanings and procedures are checked against official documentation. That includes manufacturer support pages, platform help centres, product manuals and software documentation. Where official documentation doesn’t cover a common real-world problem, we may consult other reliable sources for context. We don’t present forum posts or unverified claims as established fact.
Testing
We don’t test every step on every device or software version. Guides are based on official documentation and sound troubleshooting principles. We say where a step couldn’t be verified or where results depend on the model. We describe a step as tested only when we have tested it.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help with research, organising and drafting. AI output is not treated as an authoritative source. Every guide is reviewed and edited by Naveen Kumar, and technical details are checked against official documentation before publication.
What we don’t promise
The same symptom can have different causes, and results depend on your device and software version. We can’t promise that any fix will work in every case. Each guide says what to try next and when to contact official support. GlitchWise guides are not a substitute for manufacturer support. For warranty, account, billing or safety issues, contact the manufacturer or service directly.
Updates and corrections
Software and devices change, so instructions can go out of date. We re-check guides when manufacturers change their software and when readers report a problem.
If you find an error, an outdated step or a broken link, please tell us through our contact page. Include the article URL and your device or software version so we can review it quickly.
Independence, advertising and affiliate links
GlitchWise is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official support service of any company whose products we cover. Brand and product names are used for identification only.
The site may display advertising. Some pages may contain affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Advertising and affiliate relationships do not influence our troubleshooting conclusions. We mention products only when they are relevant to the problem, and we don’t suggest a purchase when a reasonable fix exists. Any sponsored content would be clearly labelled.
